Seven Years in Hell

As I start this note, some are going to be insanely mad, some are going to  reach out. HERE is my journey the past week, we all know this time of  year. We know the depths of the sadness it brings. I was there in that  moment crippling myself with fear and grief mourning a tragedy and  horrific loss and locked in my own prison.

When it came to the  very day almost to the very hour of this event, I was contacted by  someone, they reached out to me, banged on my Facebook until I listened and agreed to hear what was being said, we chatted back and forth and  set up a time to speak over the phone.

When this woman, (and I  wasn't sure if I even believed what was going on) called me, my stomach was in knots and I was more nervous then I had ever been. She began speaking and explained that there were going to be things I didn't like  to hear, but she needed to say them; and she explained that JESSICA (my  sister, who tragically passed away seven years ago) was with her. She had a lot to say, things she needed me to hear. And so it began. I sat crying, enraged, so mad, yelled, questioned, and more importantly listened. I listened to it all. ALL the things she said.

There were  things being said that NO ONE could know, things from our childhood, things about ALL of my siblings. She knew things no one COULD POSSIBLY KNOW. It set my mind into a tailspin. Of great sadness and forgiveness and such a depth of love and angry and honest rage and grief.

There  was a point in this when things shifted so to speak, a point of  acceptance and responsibility for the things that unfold, and were still  happening, the way I was living and what it was doing to me, my family and children every aspect of my life. As well as MY ENTIRE FAMILY, how they hurt and carry this pain. I was in complete amazement of the things being said, and it was shocking to feel her so close.

After hours and hours and then the following day even more hours I was  changed, I was a complete believer. There was no OTHER answers for what  had just taken place. NOW, I will say this, since I started talking to this woman, I feel better then I have in over 7 years and then even  more, I slept for the first time soundly and in such peaceful comfort I can't even explain. My shoulders do not hurt anymore, my mind is free  and clear.. I sing and smile knowing certain times when Jessica is now  with me, and it doesn’t make me cry, it fills me with JOY, love and happiness. You can not experience such a deep, life-changing loss unless you love and were loved by the person who passed without having  unconditional love.

I haven't smiled like this in years, I haven't been able to. I was STUCK in a very dangerous place.. And now  that is gone.. And LOVE now fills that space. The most important thing I  can say, is when I STOPPED GRIEVING for the event and such a horrific  passing, I was able to just remember the love, the compassion, her life  and her breathtaking powerful soul.

This woman SAVED my  life! As well as helped my mom, whom she also spoke to at length.
